Haaniyah Shaik 

Founder & Executive Director 

Hi, I’m Haaniyah Shaik, a rising junior at Hillsborough High School with a deep passion for neuroscience, education, and community change. I’ve always been fascinated by the brain, but what truly inspired me to act was seeing how little awareness exists around conditions like Alzheimer’s, autism, and ADHD.  Which is why I co-founded NeuroHope to change that — to create a youth-led space where science meets compassion. Through events, blogs, and advocacy, I aim to educate others, support affected communities, and lead change rooted in empathy.
Fun Fact: I love playing badminton and proudly believe I belong in Slytherin.


 

Bhuvana M Vasantavada

Co-Founder & Executive Director 

My name is Bhuvana M Vasantavada, a high school senior with a deep love for neuroscience, art, math, music, and using knowledge to spark change. I co-founded NeuroHope, a youth-led organization that raises awareness about neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions like Alzheimer’s, ADHD, and autism. Through this platform, I’ve helped lead initiatives that educate, advocate, and support communities often left out of the conversation. I’ve always been fascinated by how the brain works. Whether it’s through science, creativity, or community impact, I’m someone who believes in blending compassion with action. My dream is to keep learning, building, and finding new ways to make the world a little more thoughtful and a lot more hopeful.

 Nargis Sheikh 

Director of Community Outreach

Hey, I’m Nargis, a junior in high school. As the Director of Community Outreach, I plan events and build partnerships with other nonprofits and schools. I have always found neuroscience intriguing and believe that spreading awareness on neurological conditions is important. My goal is to turn creative ideas into action and to build meaningful connections to promote education and change. I’m really creative and on my free time enjoy drawing and getting lost in a good series.



 

Aleezah Khan 

Director of Communications & Media + Research Manager...

My name is Aleezah Khan and I’m a rising junior! Medicine has always been a passion of mine and something I hope to pursue in the future. That scientific interest is what inspired me to join Neurohope an organization dedicated to spreading awareness about Alzheimer’s. As someone who has little experience with Alzheimer’s I believe that this organization will be an excellent way not only for me to learn more about the disease but to educate and raise awareness among others. As the director of communications and media/research manager I hope to create posts to educate others on our cause as well as to collaborate with other groups with a similar goal in order to create a worldwide impact. Asides from science some of my interests include baking, reading, and journaling.


 




 

Ananya Angara

Research Manager

I’m Ananya Angara, a high school senior who’s interested in science, music, and making a difference. The mind has always been a matter that’s interested me ever since I was young–how it shapes us into who we are, how it influences the way we move as people in the world, and it holds a power over humanity despite being intangible. As the Director of Research and Advocacy at NeuroHope, I’m determined to raise awareness of Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative conditions , and to bring well-deserved recognition to everyone about it. My goal is to aid in building a world that is keen on compassion, curiosity, and a drive to do good–one determined person at a time.

 




 

 Ayman Khan 

Co-Director of Community Outreach

Hello, my name is Ayman. I am an upcoming junior in high school with a recently developed love for the field of science. I joined NeuroHope because of its important mission of spreading awareness about Alzheimer's, ADHD, and Autism, some topics that are not talked about enough. I am very interested in the mysterious ways our brains and bodies  work together. I hope to raise awareness on the important aspects of neuroscience within our communities by fusing creative ideas together and implementing them towards the greater good. I would describe myself as an ambivert and as a person with a sweet tooth :)


 


Yani Patel

Finance & Operations Coordinator

Hi! I’m Yani, a rising junior with many interests. I love to bake, read, and crochet in my free time. I have always been interested in healthcare and medicine, and hope to pursue a career in this field. I am always open to trying new things and taking opportunities that align with my interests and goals which is why I decided to join this organization. I want to learn more about Alzheimer’s and ADHD through this club and help bring awareness to others as well.


 

 Maheen Yasir 

Research Manager 

Hello! My name is Maheen and I’m 16 years old I’m about to be a junior in high school! I am the director of research and advocacy. I love writing and this will give me the chance to improve my writing skills and work on articles that will be of beneficial knowledge.  I’m a creative person, I love writing and expressing my thoughts. I’m more on the introverted side but with my friends I’m extroverted. I love reading and writing! I loveee cats (I used to have one myself) and in the future I want to become a doctor specifically a dermatologist or pharmacist!



 


Soukayna Mahra

Hello my name is soukayna, I’m 15years old and going into year 11. I have a huge passion for everything that's related to medicine, specifically neuroscience and cardiology. I love doing research and sharing information with others in the simplest format they can get, for each individual to understand clearly. I am now excited to say that I'm one of NeuroHope’s members that takes part in spreading awareness about Alzheimer’s, Autism and ADHD. My goal is to help spread awareness by doing research and sharing it with others, perhaps in the future i might change to a higher position as to helping more. I love martial arts and being creative in everything I do. Random fact – I hate tomatoes, but love cheese :)
